Refund issue

Description

So I had someone issue me a refund and somehow the money got refunded to my bank card I had on my PayPal. However that bank card and bank account was closed down about two or three months ago so I’m not sure how the money was refunded when that card is no longer linked to my account and is no longer active. How do I get my money onto my PayPal directly? Does the person who sent me the refund need to contact PayPal about this issue? I’ve never been in this situation before so I’m not sure what to do. I tried to resend the money back to them but it doesn’t give me the option to do so since it was sent to a closed bank account. I’m at a loss here I don’t even know how the money was refunded to a closed down account that’s no longer linked to my PayPal. Any help/feedback is greatly appreciated!
