My Friend Has sent me money but it does not show up in my paypal

My friend sent me 100 dollars and I was supposed to receive it theough my paypal on dec 19th but nothing has shown up in my paypal and today is the 20th of December. I texted him and he sent me proof of it sending and I was wondering if there was anything you could do for me.
