I waited over a month and a half for some resolution on a purchase made with PayPal that turned out to be a fraudulent seller. Open and shut case with documentation for a measly $130. They dragged it out and out and kept changing the resolution date even after I showed them the bogus tracking number provided by the Chinese seller. I got tired of waiting and filed a complaint with the credit card company. Immediately got a response from PayPal washing their hands of it and they proceeded to put strict limitations on my PayPal account for BOTH credit cards I had on file, saying there was illegal activity on them. Not so. I use them everyday. They won’t reinstate full capabilities until I provide essentially all the information needed for identity theft. Credit card statement Driver license Proof of residence This is really inappropriate. Reality is, PayPal is at fault for allowing a fraudulent vendor to set up a receiving account. They should have just paid up and shut the crook down, not castigate me for wanting my due refund.
