**Why Are My YouTube Comments Getting Instantly Deleted? A Comprehensive Guide**

If you’ve noticed your YouTube comments disappearing right after you post them, you’re not alone. Many users have reported this frustrating issue, even when their comments don’t violate any guidelines. Let’s delve into the possible reasons behind this phenomenon and explore what you can do to address it.

### 1. Aggressive AI Moderation

YouTube employs AI to detect and remove spam and inappropriate content. However, this system can sometimes be overzealous, mistakenly flagging innocent comments as spam. Users have shared instances where even benign comments, like « I like pie, » were deleted, highlighting the AI’s potential for overreach.

### 2. Broad Community Guidelines

YouTube’s community guidelines are stringent, and any violation can lead to comment deletion. However, the guidelines might be interpreted too broadly, causing legitimate comments to be removed. This inconsistency can be perplexing for users who believe their comments are harmless.

### 3. Shadow Banning

Some users speculate that they might be shadow banned, where their comments are visible only to them. This could explain why others don’t see the comments, though YouTube hasn’t confirmed this practice widely.

### 4. Video-Specific Issues

Interestingly, some users find that comments on certain creators’ videos, like Joe Rogan’s, are more likely to be deleted. This suggests that the content or context of the video might influence the algorithm’s behavior, possibly targeting specific topics or creators.

### 5. Live Stream Differences

During live streams, comments might be deleted more frequently, possibly due to the fast-paced nature of live interactions, where the system prioritizes removing spam quickly, sometimes at the expense of genuine comments.

### 6. Account History

A user’s account history could play a role. If your account has a history of spamming or guideline violations, YouTube might be more vigilant, leading to more aggressive comment deletion. However, this doesn’t explain why clean accounts face the same issue.

### Impact on User Experience

This issue can be disheartening, affecting both creators and viewers. It hinders genuine engagement and community building, as users feel their contributions are being unfairly silenced.

### What Can You Do?

– **Report the Issue**: Contact YouTube support to bring the problem to their attention. While responses can vary, it’s worth a try.
– **Avoid Triggering Keywords**: Experiment with different phrasing to see if certain words are causing the issue.
– **Check Across Platforms**: Test posting comments on different devices or browsers to rule out technical issues.
– **Seek Community Support**: Engage with forums or Reddit to share experiences and find solutions.

### Conclusion

The sudden deletion of YouTube comments is a complex issue with multiple potential causes, from AI overreach to broad guidelines. By understanding these factors, users can better navigate this challenge and seek solutions to maintain meaningful engagement on the platform.
