Description
Hi Guys. I put a cooker up for sale last night for the sum of £50. I received an email from someone called Linda Barber telling me she wants the cooker for her cousin and is willing to pay the full asking price. She said has just had heart surgery and is housebound and has an agent who will come and collect it on her behalf. She said she will pay me my £50 and also £265 which she is paying the agent. So she will be putting £315 in my Paypal account and I will need to forward the agent’s money to him. Her agent’s name is Raymond Ezenwaka and his acc number is and sort code . As soon as the money is in his account she can make arrangements for collection. I then received an email from ‘Paypal’ on a proper headed page telling me that the funds are now in my account and I should transfer the agent’s money now so that she can make the arrangements. The email looked so much or identical to Paypal with the visa and Mastercard logos and singed sincerely on behalf of Paypal by a Mr. A Williams. The Paypal team. The email even says it was sent from with the email address service online helpdesk at gmail. The funds are not showing in my Paypal account so is this a scam and if so do you think I should call the police or who can I tell?
