Pending payments

Hi there
I made a purchase via bank funding and the payment had declined when paypal went to take it, i then however transfered from my bank to paypal to make up the amount owing , meanwhile paypal then tried to take the direct debit again for the same amount (twice now) but as ive already transfered it the funds were not available.
paypal reversed their first attempt but their second attempt was the same day the payment i made was due to clear, ow they have marked my transfer as failed and their payment also as failed, so i have two attempts of direct debit from paypal both reversed and my payment that obviously went through and cleared but due to their attempt marked mine as failed but mine went out of my bank but paypal stating never reached them…. so where is the payment i made as it didnt return to me? Ive now paid again by debit card to clear the balance but now ive paid twice and neither my bank nor paypal are helping me resolve the missing payment issue. This was a week ago… do i leave another few days to see if it clears with paypal or ring them again tomorrow?
