PayPal account shows a refund was made, but bank account shows the money was withdrawn

Description

My PayPal account shows that two refunds to my account were made on 11-20-20, one for $15.27 and the other for $240.05.
However, my bank account shows that only the $15.27 was refunded and the $240.05 was deducted as a payment. I believe that PayPal should refund the $240.05 and make the original refund of $240.05 into my account for a total of $480.10 to my account.
I have not been able to contact PayPal directly regarding this and nothing on the site addresses the problem described: refund shown by PayPal, but bank statement shows it as a withdrawal/payment.
I have used PayPal for many years and this is the first time I have encountered this problem.
