I need help with who to contact

Hello, i purchased an item through ebay off a seller and upon receiving the item it was damaged and not mentioned in the ad. I contacted her and she agreed to refund me back a portion of the sale. Between the time of purchasing the original amount and receiving a refund through paypal, my bank card which was attached to my paypal had expired and i did not realise until a week or so later. I contacted the seller to confirm the amount did not bounce and she said it didn’t. I contacted paypal who told me to contact my bank and i did but they said they cannot see any proof of purchase for the original item or any refunds. I dont know who to contact or what to do.
