So, telephoned paypal as requested in SMS – needed to speak with me urgently! Turned out they want me to pay more than the minimum payment. At present minimum payment covers the monthly interest, and an amount always in excess of interest off the balance. I know all about this happening with Banks, Credit Cards etc. but I am paying down the balance, however, I was definitely being ‘talked down to’, and being deaf I cannot always hear clearly,so I handed the phone to my sister who introduced herself. I gave no permissions for anything other than the matter in hand – however, she was voluntarily told that last year I had a problem with paypal and got in arrears, but I had sorted that out kept to their 3 month plan and everything returned to normal, so my sister queried that with me, and said to me, how much do you owe, and with that the person from PayPal told my sister over the phone what my balance was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
