Close & pay PayPal balance (UK)

Hello, I’ve been liaising with PayPal regarding a dispute and they’ve come back to me fairly quickly BUT yet to want to close my PayPal balance I’ve heard nothing in 5 days?! I have kept emailing them to ask to respond?! I want to pay my balance with a credit card but yet I can’t pay credit with credit (odd as you can pay a credit card with a credit card.) I’ve heard you could pay by credit card as a one off to close you PayPal credit account over the phone. I’m based in the UK so know things are slightly different for here. Any advice would be good. Thanks
