Can’t link bank account or debit card to PayPal account

Description

I have a Skylight account, which I believe is through SunTrust bank, or what was formerly SunTrust. The bank changed hands, and Skylight card holders were sent new cards in February. I have tried linking this new card to my PayPal account multiple times, and each time it has been declined. I tried removing the old card, it still doesn’t work. Then I tried removing the bank account itself and adding it again, but now it is issuing the same error as the card, either saying it is declined or that an error occurred and to please try again later. Well, I have been trying again later. For a month. It’s getting rather irritating, especially since this Skylight account is my only bank account, so if I can’t get it to link up, I can’t use my PayPal account. I’ve found a few threads with the same problem, but so far I haven’t seen an answer anywhere. Does anyone have any advice or ideas? I’ve tried contacting the Skylight support team, but I haven’t heard back yet. I just don’t know what to do.
