Description

Can anyone figure out this head-scratcher? I bought an enterprise-grade network switch last night, and today, I get an email saying that the seller has updated the transaction with the tracking number. Cool right? Or so I thought; when I put in the tracking number on the USPS website, it shows that it was DELIVERED 10 days ago! How is it possible to order something and have it show as delivered on a date far before I even ordered? Clearly got involved in some scam here… I read up on the internet and it seems like it’s easy to scam someone by sending out an empty box to a different address in the same zip code and as long as it was delivered somewhere in the zip code, the buyer automatically loses all disputes and appeals (which is BS). Maybe my seller randomly found an old tracking number for my zip code and slapped that on the transaction or something to make it look legit? What should I even do at this point? I want to dispute this but I’m 90% sure I’m gonna lose right off the bat, and my credit card company might say the same thing. How am I supposed to show that it was a deliberate scam if USPS won’t show me the exact address?
