My account was hacked and I tried to change my info to protect my bank account, I was locked out. I immediately contacted Paypal and was told that I would not be able to gain access so I asked for my account to be shut down immediately to protect it. I was told it was. Next day I received 2 notifications of money removed (almost $1400) from my bank account for someone with a totally different name. I contacted Paypal again immediately and was told my account was NOT shut down and that I could not be helped – that I would have to email or call. I sent an email with screenshots and detailed information of the hack and fraud just to be told that i need to log in to file a dispute. I CAN’T LOG IN! I was blocked from my account. So I start calling. Each time I get a recording that says I cannot be helped over the phone and to go online. AGAIN – I CANT LOG IN – I HAVE BEEN BLOCKED! So I have to create a new account in order to send a message. I sent a message 4 days ago and have added to it each day and STILL have not been responded to. I just want my money returned and my account shut down for good. I cannot believe that Paypal is a preferred platform for money with this type of customer service. Sitting by while your customers are hacked and stolen from is unacceptable. Has anyone had luck actually reaching a real customer service person that can help? I want to speak to somebody in charge at this point. »
