trying to link instore Google Pay to Paypal

Description

Title, tried setting up PayPal originally in Google Pay, had an error when putting in PayPal information. Tried all the various solutions I looked up on the internet (as well as the usual ones: uninstalling, restarting, clearing Google Play and Pay cache, etc.), to no avail. I contacted Google Support, who said since I was able to connect other credit cards, that it was almost certainly a problem in Paypal and not Google Pay. I then tried to instead go into the Paypal app for linking the Google pay, and I clicked « set up », and then « next », I briefly saw a screen where I would enter credit card information, but then the screen went white, with the PayPal logo at the top. I could see Google Autofill attempting to complete the information off-screen (off to the left), but other than that, there is no way for me to complete it. I’ve already tried reinstalling the app, deleting the cache and storage, and restarting my phone.
