Refund on canceled CC/Account?

Hello I have one question…i made one payment through paypal with my CC one year before. Now this company need to make half refound (canceled ticket because of this covid situation) so.. problem is that CC is not active anymore/also account in that Bank. So what i need to do in this situation? If they try to make refund,refund will be rejected? I was contact company and they told me to send letter from bank that my acc is closed so in that case they can send money to other card..but can i solve this problem with paypal? can just my money be on balance and then i can make decision where/what i want to do with that money? tnx in adv Djordje
