Pay after delivery – Financial Difficulty

Hi I ordered some items on pay after delivery. The items arrived and all is well but then I got hit with some unexpected financial issues. Now I don’t have enough money in my bank to cover the paypal amount that is being debited next week. When I contacted support to ask for deferred payment, I was told they cannot do this and that my account will be in negative balance. Can someone please tell me what happens then? I am two weeks away from being able to pay it, so will I get charged interest or something?
