Instead of getting back my refund, the money was deducted to my debit account!!

Hi. Please I need help. Canva recently deducted a monthly payment from my Paypal linked to my debit account. I requested a refund from Canva since I didn’t utilize the platform. They were kind enough to give back my refund. It shows in my PayPal account that they split the amount (which I don’t know why), and it states that the majority of the amount was refunded back to my debit account. However, when I checked instead of crediting the money to my account, it was DEDUCTED! How can this be?
