I can’t get any of my bank cards or cash app card to get accepted?

Description

I am only trying to purchase a couple pair of Apple AirPods and it is thru eBay. My money is in my bank but when I originally tried to pay with my credit card it says it is not accepted. I tried my husband’s as well. So it seems that I have to set up a account with PayPal? I’ve never used PayPal and when I try adding my Bank card info it’s again not going through… First question is, do I have to set up a PayPal account just to purchase the items that are off EBAY…
