Will canceling a credit card open up disputes on previous payments

The basic gist is that four disputes were opened on me by mistake, and the buyer can’t cancel these disputes. PayPal is incredibly slow to actually fix the issue, and has instead stacked chargeback fees onto my balance, which now at -$166.22. I still haven’t heard a reply back to my follow up question on the previous thread. My buyer has said that their credit card had problems, so their parents canceled it. They are claiming that because the card was canceled, these disputes were opened. I just want to know if this is true and I’m not being lied to. Solved! Go to Solution.
