Missing Funds after authorized payment

Description

I made a purchase (last year in December) with the required funds to complete the purchase however the Merchant accepted a portion payment of the order and did not fulfil the rest of the order because the funds were not authorized by PayPal. I see the funds that were accepted by the merchant on my activity page but I do not see the rest of the funds. I’ve contacted both Merchant and PayPal on the whereabouts of my funds and no one seems to know on where it is. No money has been posted back to my bank account nor in my PayPal balance. Has anyone dealt with this before?
