Paypal Free £10,00 spend

Hi everyone.
I’m hoping someone can help me. I’ve just signed up to paypal last week and I received an email telling me that they have credited me with a free £10.00 to spend before 23/10/20.
Since receiving the email I have spent over £40, but I received another last night at midnight reminding me that I have to use the £10 by 23/10 or it will not be available after that. As far as I know, paypal have not paid the money towards any of the purchases I’ve made since getting the original email.
How do I find out if paypal have paid the money? Or how do I get to use it?
Here is the original message:
Dear ‘XXX’
We’ve sent you £10.00 GBP as a thank you for your business. You can use it to pay for items or services from any merchant or retailer that accepts PayPal. You won’t see it in your account balance, but we’ll automatically apply it to your next payment.
This offer is valid until 23 October 2020.
If you don’t use the whole amount for your next payment, we’ll apply the remainder to future payments until it has all been spent. It cannot be withdrawn to your bank account and has no cash value outside of PayPal.

And here is the message I received last night:
