Pay by 3: Unexpected Full Amount and First Installment Deducted
Hey everyone,
I recently made a purchase of £129.99 using the Pay by 3 payment option in hopes of spreading out the cost. Pay by 3 is meant to allow me to pay for my items in three easy installments, but things didn’t go as planned.
After completing the transaction, my bank account was charged the full amount of £129.99, but that’s not all – the first installment of the amount was also deducted from my bank account, along with the two future scheduled installments remaining as pending charges. I was quite taken aback by the situation.
Here’s the sequence of events I observed from my bank statement:
- Full payment of £129.99 was charged to my bank account.
- First installment payment was also deducted, adding an additional charge.
- The two following installments are showing up as pending, waiting to be processed.
Having double payments for the initial purchase is not what I signed up for, and I’m looking for some advice on how to proceed. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?
I’ve already reached out to the customer service at Pay by 3 to clarify the situation, but in the meantime, I’d love to hear if anyone else has run into this similar issue, and what steps they took to address the confusion and unnecessary charges on my account.
Let’s hope I can get this sorted out quickly so I can avoid any potential overdraft issues or disputes with my bank due to these unexpected transactions.
Thanks, and I’ll keep you all updated on my resolution once I hear back from Pay by 3.
