Wrong Account Charged By PayPal

I rented an Airbnb using PayPal and that day, PayPal paid Airbnb. Thank you, PayPal.
Then, two days later, PayPal tried to charge my checking account for that amount even though my Credit Card was marked as preferred. I was charged a $31 overdraft fee by my bank.
I checked my PayPal account to make sure the Card was preferred, and it was. Thinking my Card must have rejected the charge, I added a second card. PayPal automatically changed the preference to the new card. I called the first card and found they had not seen nor rejected the charge. I « chatted » with PayPal about the mistake with no resolution.
Two days later, PayPal tried again to charge my bank account and I again incurred at $31 overdraft fee. They then tried my old card and the transaction was successful. I tried to file a complaint and found that there’s no category for the situation when PayPal messed up. So I filed it as a « billing issue ».
Several days later, I got an email saying they have to deny my case because, « your billing dispute doesn’t match our qualification for a billing dispute ». I agree, but it also isn’t unauthorized activity or a problem with the item I purchased (which are my only other choices).
Does anyone have a recommendation for how I ask for PayPal to cover the $62 I’m out in the right way, using the correct PayPal channels?
