Gift card balance in my PayPal/bank account?

Hi PayPal community– I’ve recently found a handful of Visa gift cards with varying balances on them, and I want to put them into my PayPal account. I know it’s possible to add a card as a payment source, but these cards don’t have much on them individually. If I want to buy something that I could buy with the total sum of the cards (say the balance of all of the cards combined comes to 20 dollars but that’s split between 5 dollars on 2 cards and 10 dollars on one card), does PayPal take from the combined balance of the gift cards? Or will I not be able to spend more on a purchase than that respective card contains? (In the example- does PayPal recognize that my total balance is $20 and take funds from all the cards at once, or would I only be able to spend up to $10 if I’m trying to use the card with a $10 balance?) Furthermore, is it possible to take the combined balance of all my cards and transfer it to my bank the same way I would be able to if someone had sent me money? I tend to send all my PayPal balance to my bank anyway, so I’d prefer it if I could put the card balances in there as well. Thanks!
