Business Debit Card Declined

I am suddenly unable to use my PayPal business Debit card at Walmart. I have used it many, many times in the past. I also have plenty of funds available to cover a small purchase. The ATM located inside Walmart it said chip reader error. At the self-checkout it said declined: offline. At the regular checkout it just said declined with no reason. First of all I felt like a giant loser like I was trying to spend money I didn’t have. Then I felt ridiculous for trying to argue the fact that I did indeed have enough to cover a $32 purchase. I even showed them my balance. They all just looked at me like I was a sad, pathetic loser making things up. I was so embarrassed. It’s not PayPal’s fault the employees treated me that way, however if PayPal and Walmart have some sort of spat going on we should be informed. My card worked at Dunkin the same morning. I ordered pizza with it the night before. I also used it on Amazon later the same day. I see people have had issues with Walmart in years past. Is this something that crops up every once in a while or is it just my Walmart being currently difficult?
