Payment on my website says its being held but not showing on PayPal
### Payment on my Website Indicates Holding, but Not Appearing on PayPal
Hello everyone,
I’m writing today to share an issue I’ve been dealing with over the past few days concerning my business website and my new PayPal account. As someone who is just starting out in e-commerce, setting up both a website and a PayPal account was an exciting endeavor. However, a recent issue has me scratching my head in confusion and hoping for some guidance.
Here’s what happened: After successfully setting up my website and integrating PayPal for payments, I received a handful of incoming payments. The website’s payment status indicated that these payments were being held. However, there is no trace of these transactions on my PayPal dashboard—neither showing as completed nor pending.
This situation is quite frustrating because it leaves me uncertain about the legitimacy of the payments and how to claim them or at least find some clarification. PayPal is not showing any notifications or alerts about these transactions, either.
Here are a few points that might be helpful to anyone reading this:
1. **Check the Website’s Transaction Logs:** Look into your website’s transaction log where the payments were made from. Sometimes, the website platform might have more information about the transaction status.
2. **Contact PayPal Support:** Reach out to PayPal’s customer support. They might need the transaction details such as payment transaction IDs, for which you can refer to your website’s transaction logs. Provide as much information as possible to help them resolve the issue.
3. **Inspect Website Integration Settings:** Ensure that the PayPal integration settings on your website are correctly configured. Any misconfiguration might cause issues with how transactions are logged and sent to PayPal.
4. **Look for Email Alerts:** You might want to check your inbox, especially the spam/junk folder, for any email alerts or notifications from PayPal. Sometimes, important information might be mistakenly placed in these folders.
5. **Review Website’s Security:** Make sure that your website is secure to prevent any potential security breaches that might be affecting how transactions are processed.
I hope this post can help others who might be encountering similar issues. If you’ve had similar experiences or have any suggestions, feel free to share in the comments below!
Waiting eagerly for your inputs and solutions. Stay tuned and take care!
Best regards,
