Strange charge on my card for Paypal does not match who I sent money to

I tried to send money to an accountant in Spain– but on my AMEX card PAYPAL *Rodney received the money in Malta — how can this be? the transaction info on the site shows has the correct email for the accountant, received the money but my AMEX card charge says *Rodney in Malta got it help —
