Return shipping scam

Hi, I am loosing the will to live with the PayPal dispute system, why do they not take any notice of the information you upload? Can anyone provide any help, I am in dispute with a seller, the product they sold was absolutely useless and doesn’t work. They refused to give me any sort of support directly so I opened a case with PayPal. PayPal found in my favour and have said I have to ship the product back in the condition it was sent. Fair enough but I have a number of issues in doing this which I have tried to make clear to PayPal but they are just ignoring the information I am providing: The seller in question ships these items locally to me, but to return them I have to pay international recorded shipping back to the USA which is going to cost me nearly as much as the product cost in the first place. I am pretty sure they are doing this to ensure people do not return the product as its just not economical to return them. The devices in question are so poorly made that once they have been configured even a factory reset does not remove the configured settings. This means that the security I have configured on these devices is easily accessible by the company in question when the devices are returned Outside of the dispute system the seller has also confirmed to me that if the items have been opened there terms and conditions state this as not the same condition I received them in and will refuse to provide a refund. So my question is what am I supposed to do? Do I pay this expensive shipping so that PayPal have tracking information only to be told that the seller has stated they are not in the condition I received them and refuse to pay out and then still have to spend hours reconfiguring the local security of my home network and all the devices attached to it ensure it cannot be compromised?
