**When Will Outlander Season 6 Arrive on Netflix? A Global Guide to Release Dates and Updates**
*Posted on [Insert Date] by [Your Name]*

Fans of the beloved historical drama *Outlander* have been asking themselves the same question: **When will Season 6 (and Season 7) finally come to Netflix?** The answer depends on your location—and Netflix’s complicated licensing deal with Starz, the show’s original network. Let’s break down the details with the latest updates based on recent reports.

—

### **Current Availability: Is Season 6 Already on Netflix?**
For **many regions**, including the UK, Australia, and parts of Europe, **Season 6 is already available on Netflix** as of 2023. This is due to regional licensing agreements that allow Netflix to stream episodes alongside Starz’s U.S. broadcast.

– **Episode-by-episode release**: In select countries (like the UK), Netflix subscribers could watch episodes just one day after they aired on Starz.
– **Full season release**: Many non-U.S. regions gained access in full once Starz finished airing the episodes in spring 2022.

—

### **Why Is Outlander on Netflix in Some Regions But Not the U.S.?**
The delay stems from Netflix’s licensing agreements with **Starz**, which holds primary rights to the show. In the U.S., Netflix subscribers must wait **two full years** after the finale of each season to see the episodes on their platform. Here’s the breakdown:

– **Season 6 U.S. Netflix Release Date**:
– Air date (on Starz): March 6–May 1, **2022**
– Expected Netflix U.S. release: **Fall 2024 (or early 2025)** based on the two-year window.
– Note: Some sources suggest a **March 2024** arrival, depending on the exact licensing terms.

– **Why the Delay?**
– Starz retains exclusive broadcast rights in the U.S. for two years post-airing. Netflix’s agreement requires this waiting period.
– This timeline mirrors past releases: Season 5, which aired in 2020, debuted on Netflix in May **2022** in the U.S.

### **Global Release Differences: Your Region Matters**
Netflix’s access to *Outlander* varies by country, so check your local library:

| Region | Season 6 Availability |
|——————|————————————-|
| **Australia/UK** | Already available (2023) |
| **Canada/Mexico**| Likely available (check regional Netflix) |
| **U.S.** | *Coming in 2024 or 2025* |
| **Australia/Rest of World** | Released weekly alongside the U.S. air date (2022) |

—

### **Season 7: What’s the Timeline?**
Season 7 is currently in production, set to air on Starz in **late 2023 or early 2024**. Following the two-year Netflix pattern:
– **Expected U.S. Netflix Date for S7**: Late 2026 or 2027.
– Production delays may affect this prediction, so stay tuned for updates.

—

### **Why the Hold-Up for the U.S.?**
Netflix’s rights are limited by Starz’s U.S. broadcast window:
– The show is a **Starz Original**, meaning Netflix can only stream it in the U.S. after Starz finishes its exclusive TV run.
– A lucky exception: In some regions (e.g., the UK), Netflix acts as a co-broadcaster, allowing same-week access.

### **How to Watch Earlier: Creative Workarounds (Legally?)**
If you’re desperate for Season 6 and reside in the U.S., options are limited:
1. **Sign up for Starz** via providers like Spectrum, Comcast, or Starz’s own streaming service.
2. **Check your regional Netflix library** (if you’re outside the U.S.).

—

### **Is There Hope for Faster U.S. Releases?**
Netflix and Starz have negotiated deals for faster access in some regions, but the two-year rule for U.S. Netflix seems unbroken. Rumors of a **Netflix buyout of *Outlander*** have surfaced over the years, but no official announcements suggest a change.

—

### **Final Notes: Stay Patient or Stream Elsewhere**
For U.S. viewers: Set a calendar alert for **spring 2024**. Meanwhile:
– Follow the show’s official accounts (*Outlander* and Starz) for updates.
– Use platforms like Starz Play to watch seasons not yet on Netflix.

—

**Final Update:** As of early 2023, *Outlander* Season 6 remains out of Netflix’s U.S. library but is live elsewhere. For a definitive answer, monitor Netflix’s announcements in mid-2024 or sign up for regional accounts if possible.
