- Pick Your Mystery: Both players secretly draw one card from the yellow Mystery deck. This is the character your opponent will try to guess.
- Who Goes First?: Decide who goes first. You can flip a coin, play rock-paper-scissors, or whoever thinks they’re the best guesser can go first!
Playing the Game:
- Ask Yes or No Questions: On your turn, you ask your opponent a yes or no question about the mystery character on their card. The question should be based on a physical feature on the Character cards, like “Does your mystery character have a beard?” or “Does your mystery character wear glasses?”
- Answer Truthfully: Your opponent must answer your question truthfully with either “yes” or “no”.
- Flip Down Cards: Based on the answer, flip down all the Character cards in your hand that don’t match the answer. This helps you narrow down who the mystery character could be.
- Your Turn: Now it’s your opponent’s turn to ask you a yes or no question about their mystery character. The game continues with turns alternating between players.
Making a Guess:
- Think You Know?: At any point during your turn, if you think you know who your opponent’s mystery character is, you can take a guess!
- Guess Correctly – You Win!: If you guess the name of the character on your opponent’s Mystery card correctly, you win the game!
- Guess Incorrectly – You Lose!: But if you guess wrong, you lose the game, and your opponent wins.
Tips for Winning:
- Ask strategic questions that eliminate the most characters possible with each question.
- Pay attention to which characters your opponent flips down after your questions. This can give you clues about their mystery character.
- Try to ask questions that eliminate entire rows or columns of characters at once.
