PayPal Credit as useless or is it only me??

### Title: **PayPal Credit: Useless or Just a Nasty Customer Experience?**

I open this blog post feeling utterly perplexed by the frustrating journey that’s become a regular experience with PayPal Credit and my PayPal account. Despite being approved for PayPal Credit, I find myself utterly useless in terms of actually using it – despite having a perfectly well-functioning PayPal account and appropriate funds to cover my purchases. After over 20 attempts, PayPal has yet to allow me to use the credit option, and, to make matters worse, my debit and credit cards linked to my PayPal are also being denied for transactions.

Imagine trying to buy something as simple as a $5 pack of guitar strings from eBay, only to find out that none of the available payment methods work successfully. It’s baffling how PayPal can approve me for credit and yet deny me the means to use either the credit or the funds in my own accounts to complete a transaction. This experience is not only exasperating but also completely nonsensical to me.

Here lies the question: Is it just me or are other users experiencing similar issues with PayPal Credit and the payment restriction policies? A recent Twitter thread about customer services has made me realize I’m not alone in my struggle. A number of users have reported problems similar to mine, ranging from confusion with their account status to the complete inability to make payments, regardless of the amount.

The real kicker? PayPal’s customer service team. Their performance can only be described as abysmal. Their security specialists are about as helpful as a parsnip in a sushi restaurant. They just don’t seem to care about solving these issues for their customers. Instead, it’s a minefield of confusing support tickets and a labyrinthine IVR system, with absolutely no real human assistance to be found. Right now, due to the ongoing pandemic, even getting a customer service representative on the phone is as likely as finding a fish riding a unicycle.

Given all these complications, I’m seriously considering cancelling my PayPal account, despite the advantages it provides, primarily due to the frustrations and the inconvenience I face daily. PayPal needs to take accountability and find a way to improve their support and payment systems.

If you, like me, are facing issues with your PayPal Credit or any other similar payment struggle, feel free to share your experiences in the comments below. Your experiences could be the voice they need to hear to make a positive change!

This blog post articulates the frustration many PayPal users might share and opens a dialogue, encouraging others to share their experiences. It aims to shine a light on customer service issues and potentially prompt a conversation on how to improve user experience with PayPal services.
