For Several months I have an ongoing problem with Pay Pal Credit. I changed Banks and followed up with changing all direct debits. However, Pay Pal twice applied to the old account for a payment, after several weeks, I received a final e mail telling me that ‘they’ could not get into my Pal Pal Credit account and that I would have to telephone. Being deaf and disabled I do not use the telephone hence the reason I was using e-mail. The following month and using the new details Pay Pal Credit took 3 x the monthly minimum payment Plus 2 x late payment fees (for the previous month, Although I could not afford this, I eventually tried to telephone but could not get through to a ‘live’ person, or anything other than the offered press this number. I had not used PayPal Credit that month so in my calculations I should have reverted to minimum payments – not so, payment was due 28th of the month, and on the 29th I received yet another notification of a failed payment and charges, however, the payment was not requested until the 3rd of the next month and cleared with no problem – that is until I saw they they had taken over £100!! I have written letters to various addresses given over the internet, but have received no replies. In the end I contacted my bank and they charged back the £100. I then got letters (with no return address) from PPCredit with all kinds of threats, and they have suspended my account on ebay which I can therefore no longer use. I am now approaching the 4th payment due date, which is the first date I calculate that I owe the minimum payment but they say on my account I owe the £100 plus charges and another £94. Obviously I have cancelled my DD but now I will have a bad mark on my credit account and the Credit account is closed and they are also threatening Court for the outstanding balance. I am panicking now as I rear they will try and take as much as they can from my new bank account. Can anyone here please help. I understand that PayPal Credit is ‘ Newday’ and thought therefore that it was seperate from the original Pay Pal but apparantly not!
