## Stuck in a PayPal Paradox: My Cross-Border Account Nightmare!

Ugh, technology! It can be so amazing, but sometimes it feels like it’s out to get me. I’m stuck in a frustrating limbo with my new PayPal accounts, and I really need your help fellow globetrotters!

I nervously opened a PayPal account in Ecuador with USD. My goal? To start making online purchases and eventually, maybe even kickstart my online business! Everything seemed smooth sailing until I hit the dreaded “link bank account” step. The website only accepts US bank accounts. Talk about a bummer! I have accounts in Ecuador and the UK, so how am I supposed to make transfers? I’ve scoured the website for options, but there seems to be no way to enter details of a non-US account.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, so I foolishly opened a *second* PayPal account with my UK address and my Ecuadorian phone number (including the country code, of course!). Only to run into **another problem**. Apparently, PayPal wants to send me a verification code via SMS, fair enough. But here’s the kicker: because of EU regulations, they omit the country code when sending the message!

As a result, my code never arrives, and I’m completely locked out of my account! I’m stuck in a frustrating loop on both accounts, and the clock is ticking.

Has anyone else encountered these issues? Please, dear reader, share any advice or tips you might have! I need to find a way to get my accounts working so I can finally get my business up and running.
