I cant link my card

Hello I tried linking my debit card for the first time, It gave an error and it said contact issuing back, I thought it was a mistake. I keot rying till it said declined. I’ve gone to my bank and they sorted out the error which I didnt know I had and my card now works for online purchases. But paypal still says card declined. I dont think its checking the card anymore. Maybe the card number has been flagged for my varios tries. Help pls
