## My Debit Card is Stuck in Limbo (Help!)

So, this is frustrating. I recently closed an old account with a financial institution (let’s just call them “Bank X”). I expected a clean break, you know? But turns out, my debit card is still mysteriously linked to that closed account.

Here’s the kicker: I’m trying to open a new account with Bank X, but the system keeps telling me my card is already active with an existing account. The problem is, I can’t actually access the old account since it’s closed! It’s like my debit card is trapped in some digital limbo.

Apparently, the new account I’m trying to open uses the same authentication methods as the old one, which is understandably creating a conflict. I’ve tried reaching out to Bank X’s customer service, but I’m on hold for what feels like an eternity.
