Whose Report Will You Believe?

In a world filled with conflicting reports and opinions, it’s essential to choose whose report we believe. As Christians, we have a choice to make: will we believe the report of the world or the report of the Lord?

In Isaiah 53:1, we read, “Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?” This scripture reminds us that God’s report is often different from the world’s report. The world may say we are sick, but God’s report says we are healed. The world may say we are poor, but God’s report says we are prosperous.

In John 12:37-50, Jesus cried out, saying, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.” Jesus is reminding us that when we believe in Him, we are not just believing in a man, but in the God who sent Him.

The world may try to convince us that God’s report is not reliable, but as Christians, we must choose to believe the report of the Lord. We must decide to believe that God’s Word is true, and that He is working everything out for our good (Romans 8:28).

As Ron Kenoly sings in his song, “Whose Report Shall You Believe?”, “His report says I am healed, His report says I am filled, His report says I am free.” Whose report will you believe? Will you believe the report of the world, or the report of the Lord?

In a world filled with negative reports, it’s essential to choose whose report we believe. Let’s choose to believe the report of the Lord, and trust that He is working everything out for our good.

Prayer: Father in heaven, I choose to believe Your report. I trust that You are working everything out for my good, and that Your Word is true. Help me to tune out the negative voices of the world and focus on Your goodness. Amen.
