About SoonerCare
Medicare provides coverage mostly to individuals age 65 or older and some people with disabilities. If you are on Medicare and you qualify for SoonerCare, most of your health care costs are covered. If you have low income and limited assets, SoonerCare may help pay some or all of Medicare premiums and cost sharing expenses.
Prescriptions (Drugs)
Most prescriptions that are covered may be filled at any pharmacy or drugstore that accepts SoonerCare. Frequently Asked Questions Adult members: There is a limit of six covered prescriptions per month (including up to two brand-name drugs). The pharmacy has to give you a generic drug when one is available, unless the OHCA prefers the branded drug.
Nursing Facility
SoonerCare covers care in nursing facilities (as defined by Title 63 O.S. 1-1902 of the Oklahoma Care Act) and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities (ICF-IID).
