PayPal asks for a different card before payment instead of the one I already have

Description

I wanted to subscribe to a website using PayPal but it prompted me to add a debit or credit card even though I have one. However it seems it wants me to add either a MaterCard, a Meastro or a Discover card. I double checked, it was PayPal, not some clone page. So, If I’m paying via PayPal and it accepts the card, why do I need a different type? It never happened before.
