how to get are from radius ?

You actually can’t directly get the area from the radius alone because the area of a circle depends on the square of the radius. Here’s the formula for the area of a circle:

Area (A) = π (pi) * Radius (r) squared

Where:

  • π (pi) is a mathematical constant with a value of approximately 3.14159.
  • Radius (r) is the distance from the center of the circle to any point on the edge.

So, if you know the radius, you can multiply it by itself (r x r) and then multiply that result by pi to get the area.

For example, if the radius of a circle is 5 cm, then the area would be:

A = π * 5 cm * 5 cm ≈ 3.14159 * 25 cm² ≈ 78.54 cm² (rounded to two decimal places)

Circle terminology consists of the definitions of: Circumference – the distance around the circle;; Radius – a line segment joining the center of the circle with any point on the circle;; Diameter – a line segment whose endpoints lie on the circle and which passes through the center; and; Chord – a line segment whose endpoints lie on the circle.; There are many other terms associated …
Arc Length
To calculate arc length without the angle, you need the radius and the sector area: Multiply the area by 2. Then divide the result by the radius squared (make sure that the units are the same) to get the central angle in radians. Or you can use the radius and chord length: Divide the chord length by double the radius.

Radius of a Circle Calculator
18 janv. 2024To find the radius whose circumference is equal to 6 feet, we follow the steps below: Write the circumference as c = 6 ft. Recall the formula for the radius of a circle from circumference: r = c / (2 × π). Inject the circumference into the equation: r = (6 ft) / (2 × π) = 3/π ft. If needed, substitute π ≈ 3.14: r = 3/π ft ≈ 0.96 ft.

31 janv. 2024To find the area using the radius, or the length from the center of the circle to the edge, use the formula area = πr^2, where r is the radius. For example, if the radius of the circle is 6 inches, first you would square 6 and get 36. Then, you would multiply 36 by π and get 113.04. Therefore, the area of the circle is 113.04 inches squared.

Radius of Circle Equation. The radius of a circle equation on the cartesian plane with center (h, k) is given as (x − h) 2 + (y − k) 2 = r 2. This is known as the equation of a circle when the radius is known. Here, (x, y) are the points on the circumference of the circle that is at a distance ‘r’ (radius) from the center (h, k).
