SAN JOSE, Calif.-In their second week of deliberations, jurors in the trial of Elizabeth Holmes seized on what one juror described as two “smoking guns” that sealed the fate of the Theranos Inc. founder. The jury was in agreement, Ms. Stefanek said, that the Theranos lab was run shoddily and not in the way to be expected from a company setting out to achieve the highest quality in medical care. Ms. Stefanek said she was in a minority in wanting to vote “not guilty” on these counts, thinking there was far less evidence of misrepresentations made to these investors.
