Top Single Strollers
There’s no universal stroller that fits all. But you can find models that fall in the boundaries of full-size, strollers and travel items.
The Colugo is easy to fold with just one hand and has an adjustable strap for carrying at the back. This allows you to carry it around, or gate-check it if your overhead bins are full.
TAVO Next
The TAVO Next is a light stroller that can be used by modern parents. It folds with one hand, stands upright for storage and comes with plenty of compatible accessories–including a bassinet stand, baby snack tray, rain cover and wheeled travel bag (sold separately) to give you everything you need in a single stroller.
Nuna’s bestselling TAVO is now available in a brand new version that has a number of clever upgrades that increase the user’s comfort and ease of use. The TAVO Next is lighter than its predecessor with the new fold-away axle that is compact and a new suspension design. The 2021 TAVO includes more storage and a footrest that can be adjusted in five different positions and a leatherette accent on its arm bar.
The TAVO Next also features a smart, self-guiding, magnetic buckle that locks in place and makes harnessing easier than ever. This is a huge selling point for parents as it can be hard to keep wiggly children in the harness. The TAVO also comes with an extendable Sky smart UPF 50+ canopy that offers extreme sun protection with multiple vents and windows as well as an all-season seating that pulls away to reveal breathable mesh when the weather heats up.
Lastly, the TAVO Now is the first stroller from Nuna’s PIPA series to transform into a travel system in one click, with no adapters required. It can be paired with the Nuna Pipa Aire RX infant car seat to create a sleek, convenient and secure Travel System for any trip you’re planning.
Baby Jogger City Select 2
The City Select 2 was released in the summer of 2021. It replaces the older City Select and City Select LUX strollers. It has 24 seating configurations and can even transform into a triple stroller with the addition of the glider board (second seat and car seat separately). The stroller folds 20% smaller than its predecessors and weighs a little over five pounds less. It comes with a range of accessories that include the bellybar (included in the Eco Collection version), a second seat, a parent console and the handmuff.
Most of our parent testers were impressed by the large storage bin that can fit a lot of equipment. The seats reclined easily and there was plenty of legroom for the kids. The brake pedal on the back is easy to reach and operate with one hand. While the stroller is larger and more difficult to maneuver, it is worth the extra space for parents who prefer roomy strollers.
The City Select 2 is also compatible with Baby Jogger infant car seats, Britax, Graco Chicco Maxi-Cosi, Graco (adapters are available separately). This means that you can use either a single or a double stroller for your child from birth to the age of toddler.
The stroller might not be the cheapest but it is likely to be the only one you ever require. If you are able to afford it, we think it’s worth the money. Particularly when you consider the top quality and durable design. The design is stunning and the fabric connections are strong without appearing rumpled. The 5-point harness snaps effortlessly together, and has a few adjustments options and is suitable for children of any size. The seat cover can be washed in cold water. Most testers were able to take it off and replace.
Delta Children LX Side-by-Side
If you need a double stroller that’s easy carry and fits into tight places such as a tight space, the Delta Children LX Side by Side is a good choice. This stroller weighs 20 lbs and has seats that hold children as much as 50 pounds each. The large canopy provides protection from rain, wind and sun. The seats can also recline to offer comfort for children. The stroller is a bit shorter than other strollers we tested and opens to a 29-inch wide, allowing it to fit in the standard doorways of 30 inches.
The product scored low for user-friendliness, partly because it is so basic it doesn’t have storage containers or deep recline on the seats, and there’s only a tiny cup holder for parents to use on the handlebars. It does have a 5-point harness that has double-rethread buckles which are easier to adjust than single-rethread buckles that are found on many other strollers.
During the tests, we analyzed the ease of being able to maneuver, turn, and fold the items. Travel strollers are often limited in space in the trunk of a car which is why folding and unfolding is an absolute requirement. Strollers that fold quickly and in a couple of steps scored higher and also those with automatic locks. Strollers that stand upright when folded and can be used with a one-handed fold also scored high.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is the most simple to push and turn, whereas
