Selling on Depop – is this a scam

Hello, they messaged me on Depop and asked to go through PayPal and I said sure (still through goods and services). Then they ask for my WhatsApp and what city I am based?? I didn’t tell them that because why do they need to know. Finally he says he’s paying and I receive a email from “PayPal” even though it went to junk mail. This is clearly fake right? The email that it’s send from is “PayPaIcareservice at Mail . Com “I have a screenshot but don’t know how to add it.
