I felt PayPal would do what was right….

We’re to begin. I almost didn’t want to write a post, because I was disappointed, & overwhelmed on how my case was handled. In the end I felt it was my responsibility to share my situation to help others who have dealt with scammers or is skeptical on using PayPal. So let’s begin. I placed an order on a product through Etsy, and yes you probably guessed right. I never received it, and the seller walked away with my money. The moment I started to feel I was getting scam was the unanswered messages I sent to the seller who never responded. It became apparent the seller had completely left the chat. Literally, from the moment I placed my order. There page no longer existed. To make matters worst, the same photo used for my product was used in another seller’s post. Furthermore the shipping tracking had no movement, and still says as of December 28, 2020 “estimated delivery date: pending”. That’s when I knew I fell for a scammer trap. Once I realized I would not reach an agreement with the seller or received any response. I followed the protocol to file a dispute on PayPal. I added all my images as proof. I felt PayPal would offer support, and do what was right. I’m sure most of you already know we’re this is heading. My case was denied due to the seller providing them with a shipping tracking that said it was delivered. This part I could not help but laugh out of frustration. Delivered to who exactly? Where was this “shipping tracking” that PayPal received from the seller at?? And most importantly were was this package delivered too? Not to my home address evidently. No package existed or appeared on my front door. As a business of such high statue I am very disappointed on the lack of support. To do what was right for a member, a customer using there platform. I’ve never experienced such bad business before, and had so much dissatisfaction, and distaste for a company. When a business doesn’t have a customer service line, representatives to help with these types of cases. It truly makes me wonder who is in charge of such a business? Where are the people behind this so called business? How can a business still exist? I know this post may not get my money back, or hold PayPal for there fraudulent actions. To me they are just as bad as the scammers. I will end my post here. As I’ve used most of my morning leading into the afternoon dealing with this situation. All I can say, is to please don’t support bad business or just be cautious on using PayPal. I believe there’s an option to have insurance or a protective plan; please add it to your order.
