PayPal Credit not showing up as an option when checking out a purchase

Description

When trying to purchase a new MacBook from Apple, I selected PayPal as a Payment option. It took me to the PayPal site for payment selection and my normal cards was there (i.e. debit/credit), but the option of selecting my PayPal Credit account did not exists. But when I log into my PayPal account directly, I see it with the available balance there. I called PayPal and after getting transferred to the ‘security team’, I was told that it most likely a anti-fraud mechanism that should reset itself in 24 hours. So, I tried again 24 hours later and still nothing. The support people said that the automated security mechanism cannot be override. So my frustration is understandably, why offer this service is you are not able to use it? I understand fraud measures, but there should be a way to override them if the consumer is verified as legitimate. I feel I have no other choice than to close my account and take my business elsewhere.
