Paypal Credit – Transaction showing in bank statement AND Paypal Credit balance

Fairly new to Paypal Credit and I have used it recently to buy an item. However instead of coming out of my Paypal Credit balance, it has been extracted from my bank. I was of the understanding that the funds from my Paypal Credit would be used? To confuse things further, the transaction is showing as ‘pending’ in my Paypal Credit so it has been registered with my Paypal but also showing in my statement. So I’m concerned that either the transaction has byepassed my Credit and just come out of my account or worse, I’ve been charged through my bank AND will have that amount to pay back in my Paypal Credit. Important to add that only one of the items I’ve bought through Paypal Credit recently are showing in my bank statement so I’m wondering if this one is a glitch?
