## PayPal Protection, Buyer Scam – Now What?

I’m absolutely gutted. Recently, I listed my phone on a Croatian selling website. A potential buyer contacted me via email, and everything seemed smooth sailing. They promised to send payment through PayPal, using some kind of buyer and seller protection service.

The best part? The money was supposed to go directly from their PayPal account to mine. I received several emails from PayPal confirming this and even stating that the funds would be available after I provided proof of shipment and tracking information.

I sent off the phone and eagerly awaited the money. But 10 days passed, and nothing appeared in my bank account.

After a few days of anxious waiting, I reached out to the buyer. Meanwhile, PayPal also sent me an email stating that the buyer had contacted them, assuring me the money would be available by November 2nd.

Here we are, past November 2nd, and still no money. My gut is screaming “scam!” I’m 95% sure I’ve fallen victim to a clever ruse.

**How can I possibly recover my money when everything seemed so secure?** I didn’t even use PayPal as a seller, and it feels like they are letting me down. I’m desperate for help! Does anyone have advice on what to do next?
