In November 2020 I purchased a toolbox from Homedepot.com with paypal credit. Had it shipped to my home, when I recieved it it was damaged and unusable so I returned it to the store where I was told I would receive the purchase amount back to my paypal credit within 30 days. 30 days come and go, I contact homedepot and they say to go to the store I returned it to and they can tell me where my refund is. I go to the store they say the refund was released to paypal. I contact paypal and file a claim. Get an email saying I would receive a provisional credit until the case is settled. Credit now says Homedepot charge is paid off. Last week I got an email saying the provisional credit will be reversed as I didn’t give them requested information, I was never asked for additional info. Come today I sign into paypal and my paypal balance is in the negative. First off I was owed that refund, secondly why wasn’t it taken back from paypal credit instead of my paypal account balance? What can I do now to get my refund from the purchase I made and returned?
