# Understanding PayPal Credit: Paying the Minimum Amount Early

Hello everyone,

If you’re using PayPal Credit for your online shopping, you might have encountered a situation similar to mine recently. I made the minimum payment ahead of the due date but wondered if I would still receive an invoice for that minimum amount on the due date.

That’s exactly what happened to me. I had paid £300, which was the minimum required payment, a couple of weeks before the due date. Surprisingly, I received an email from PayPal confirming that the payment would be processed on May 14, 2020, for £300.50.

The email contained the following details:
– Payment amount: £300.50
– Expected payment date: May 14, 2020
– Note: The amount we’ll deduct from your bank account might differ from the above payment amount if:
– Your total outstanding balance the day we process the payment is less than the payment amount. In this case, we’ll take your total outstanding balance.
– The minimum amount due, as indicated on your most recent statement, is higher than the amount above. In this case, we’ll take the minimum amount due.

The question is: Will I still receive an invoice for the minimum amount on the due date, considering I’ve already paid the minimum amount due?

Unfortunately, the PayPal email didn’t address this question clearly. Yet, after reading through the PayPal Credit terms and conditions, it seems that if you’ve paid the minimum amount due before the due date, you shouldn’t receive an additional invoice for that minimum amount on the due date.

However, to be absolutely sure, I recommend checking your PayPal account and contacting the company’s customer service if you have any questions or concerns about your payments.

In conclusion, it’s important to understand the terms and conditions of your PayPal Credit to avoid any confusion or surprises. Should you have already paid the minimum amount due before the due date, it’s probable that you won’t receive an additional invoice for that minimum amount on the due date. Nonetheless, double-checking your account and reaching out to customer service if needed, is always a wise precaution.
