Late Night Text Messages

I’ve received several late night text messages from recently and I am confused. Google states it is a scam number as do several posts within the community. They all ask me to confirm a transaction or click some link which I never do but what freaks me out is they appear to know what transactions are pending on my account. I am about this close to closing my account as it causes a lot of undue stress receiving these messages late at night and NO ONE is available from PayPal to verify if its legit or not! Anyone know if this number is PayPal or who I need to report this too?? Thanks in advance!
