The transaction was completed, and I noticed a deduction of 4.50 from my PayPal Credit account. But, as it turned out, the site was a scam, and I never received any products or services for my payment.

Now, believing that you are not alone in this situation, I decided to take action and seek ways to get my money back. Here’s what I did and what you can do if you find yourself in a similar situation:

1. **Contact PayPal Customer Service**: The first step is to immediately raise a dispute with PayPal. You can contact their customer service either through their website or via the app with the claim that you have been a victim of fraud. Make sure to provide as much documentation as possible, such as proof of purchase, copies of correspondence, and any information about the scam site.

2. **Notify Facebook**: Besides reporting the fraudulent site to PayPal, take action on Facebook to flag the scammer’s page or post as a fraudulent entity. This way, Facebook can start its investigation and potentially remove it to prevent others from falling victim as well.
